we are using lots of license plates, old tin, old cans and gears....definitely finding all kinds of projects for old windows....and shutters....the chickens are from big old cans down in Mexico....

old doors can make frames , backgrounds or like the love sign...nice panels....

i love rehabbing and recycling .....and turning junk into something fun .

its a good thing our store isnt in town with a bunch of neat neighbors..and rules.... we really have lots of useful salvage and barn relics outside...

we love JUNK ART ~ITS ALL AROUND OUR STORE....AND THE PARTS.... SO YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN!!!

some days around here is like CASH FOR CLUNKERS.....or it might loook like clunkers to the untrained eye!!!

the store is in chaos...
..the good kind...most of the merchandise orders ive made since april have been to be delivered after the yardsale....and boy did it come in this week...80+ boxes, half christmas..

. plus our big fall haul from ohio,

plus jon got piles of goodies including about 300 pcs of nice ceiling tin, some cool paddles, several really neat farm tables and cupboards, plus good used stuff for the rough room, plus more furniture from the amish and the carpenters.....so we are fat and happy and a big mess right now.... around here its definitely more is better....

. plus we have shifted quite a bit of the store around....and we arent done....we cant go for the gallery effect around here...its more about you digging thru it all and finding what is just right....

we have worked like dogs all week....and i sure am thankful for all our workers!!!

our plan is GIT -R- DONE by the end of friday......

ive been wandering around the web lately and found some cool things.... like ....a cyber buddy recommended a wonderful book for bloggers... or wannabe bloggers..and its really nice...i got it on amazon ..... BLOGGING FOR BLISS by tina frey..... !!! http://www.bellapink.typepad.com/ the layout is really nice with lots of eye candy and lots of easy to understand info...........and it shows lots of other blogs...

my dil, terri, and webmistress, is working in the store a bit now....and walla....im on facebook...link later.... i would love to have some of my cyber`` junky arty and vintage "friends" on there...

the sale is over and we worked like dogs this week trying to get the store into its fall mode.... we are all about fall...... about 10 big boxes came yesterday....today im home on the couch taking a break....

the big sale is over.... IF YOU CAME , THANK YOU SO MUCH...

we were very happy with the turnout.....even tho it was over 90 DEGREES most of the day..... it went pretty smooth, some bad congestion on the road....one table of goblets got bumped and made a huge crash....the nice customer was mortified!!! there were so many people it was kind of crushing inside sometimes.... my grandson worked for the first time and someone gave him a tip!!! he was so happy about that....

now its all over and it will take 2 or 3 days to get the store back into shape..... monday we got the

yard pretty well cleaned up....and most of the half price area cleared....

yardsale ..weekend

todays job was to set up the yardsale...and make sure its all priced.... we did this in about 4 hours this morning....it was all carried out there earlier in the week...

4 long rows....from 50 cents to 4$$$

all done and all covered up until its unveiled on sunday....

we are all fluffed up and dusted and even swept.... ready for the sale....

..we have the store looking about as good as we can manage....its all spiffed up and .. the last pile of incoming is either put away or hidden. ...

just got this bedroom set....totally carved and nice ...lots of good furniture right now...

and the brightest chickens ever....feeling their mexican roots in fiesta colors....

the cupboard barn is packed...couldnt get a good picture....and the rought room will be all outside for the sale.... the weather sounds perfect and normal...SUPER HOT.... and little chance of rain....which is good since the yard part will be outside either way!!!!
