what ive learned about POSTCARDS

i really love them, and have saved a lot...but they havent been very hot sellers for us....im going to dig some nice christmas ones out for the store tomorrow...
heres my postcard experience...
... the antique ones, pre ww1, are mostly not worth very much...usually a $ or less
..the good ones are made in germany , mainly from 1890 to 1910..the pretty ones are the least desireable....the roses, the girls, the sentimental, the holidays.....i guess there were so many of those , the collectors dont value them as much....which is good for us that love that kind.... you should be able to find them at any big show.....
..over 1$ and sometimes a lot more....halloween, santa, small towns, some artists, wierd mechanical ones, advertizing
my cyber friend susan , the dutch rose, has some nice pictures and info on antique postcards right now.... http://www.thedutchrose.blogspot.com/

I am surprised that the pretty ones (roses, etc.) are the least desirable. Those are the ones I look for. Happy Holidays!
