road trip

we just got back from chicago....where we bought tons of stuff for the store.....soon it will start coming in...new lake signs with maps!!! the missing letters from our letter display, chandeliers, lots of paris stuff...including slightly naughty dancing girls and crowns, , lots of beautiful birds and nature pictures, tons of spring flowers.... and then comes the summer things....bugs, butterflies, birds, turtles, rabbits , dragon flies...birdhouses..
we go to the show at the merchandise mart where the vendors present their wares and the stores come to buy........it was so much fun.... it should start coming in in a couple of weeks....
we definitely did our part to help the economy along!!!
its so wierd being in a big city, our town is very small and about all the same color and language......kind of vanilla,, and we still have natural land around us.......so im definitely not used to being above the ground floor.....and i really enjoyed the seeing the array of people in so much variety , from amish to very unusual girls and women all decked out in fantastic outfits..and men too, ... and in lots of different colors and accents....
also loved seeing all the different displays....lots of booths used good old stuff like we sell..., porch posts, windows, shutters, big old salvaged porch rick rack....
