working hard for the money

we just got back from chicago ....the big wholesale gift show.... working hard for the money, choosing , ordering, figuring out if its the right price for our customers... and hoping everything we bought will sell....you just never know..
.but we did go for lots of new ideas..some pretty wild ones...things you havent seen from us before..

.......COMING SOON..
..ROBOT SHIRTS, MORE HOOKS AND BRACKETS...LIGHTED BERRIES....GREAT LAKE SIGNS....SOME FUN , PMS,MAN BASHING..FRIEND MAGNETS...including some GOOD STUFF FOR THE MEN ....WE ARE MAKING THEM A MAN CAVE THIS YEAR....and we are going for princess in the foo foo room....

it was hectic....you have to make so many decisions ...and somehow we have to pick the right thng from over 1000 places to buy....
they served us wine in one booth..that might have been so wrong..i made a huge order there...half fun spring and the other half christmas and fall.....so im not real sure what all i ordered..and after that dh kept saying i was loosing my focus....well duh!!!! .we made about 30 orders in 2 short days.... I LOVED CHICAGO...YOU STEP OUT OF THE HOTEL AND STICK OUT YOUR HAND AND A TAXI BUZZES UP TO GET YOU...
it was ruth and steve and i....and we had a great time and hope everything comes.....and that we can find a place for it all...
some of the stuff we picked out in arkansas is here already.... big signs, folk art airplanes, big selection of brackets .....and while we were gone lisa made about 10 nice shutter shelves....and a big GIT`R` DONE sign and some lake signs..for nyona. LAKE MANITOU AND LAKE MAX.....so we are building up our inventory fast
i saw our cupboards and display units in 3 booths....that made me feel good.... we sell to some pretty cool people..retail and wholesale..... i try to think of our wildest customers when im at market....thats why i bought robot shirts and naughty magnets...as well as some wonderful parts for peoples projects..
P.S...blog note....im getting some blog spam....anonymous comments that are really spam about seo or investing etc etc.... kind of wierd...
.
AND NOW A LITTLE TREAT FROM AN OLD ANTIQUE BUDDY.....

HI, Ann!!!
Sounds like you had fun! I was about to rework my whole country section when, all of a sudden, bowls, wooden stuff, and good old country started to sell every weekend. I give up! I only have a tiny space...but I guess you have to had a shopper's buffet!

sounds like you had fun! I wish I had gone but couldn't do it this weekend. will have to hit the shows hard in July now as I didn't go in Jan. just tooooo much going on at the homefront.

I did that once too - the wine thing at a showroom...sometimes when things arrive after one of those nights you do wonder "what was I thinking!" and sometimes it's good to step outside our normal comfort zone too. I know we serve wine at our events and it sure loosens our customers pursestrings so those reps are no dummies :-)
