fun customers this week.....

we get the neatest people

i really want to have something special for customers who have been coming for over 20 yrs..there are a bunch of them!!!

..one was definitely a fun customer this week.....he said" i just sold something i got from you 30 yrs aGO": I FIGURED IT WAS SOMETHING HE JUST DUG OUT...BUT NO ...HE SAID IT HAD BEEN IN HIS CASE FOR 32 YRS!!!! it was pretty nice...real gold owl with ruby eyes little emeralds for his breast and diamonds on his tail.....

another fun one this week.....a barefoot librarian...in a pretty dress...

......and a little girl telling her mom...you can even shop in the bathroom...

and then there was

....the nice englishman bringing us another oar cupboard...

aND THE HUSBAND of the week has to be the guy who bought his wife 2 big beautiful antique oak drawer units for her cookie cutter collection....

WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR OUR LONGTIME CUSTOMERS WHO TELL OTHERS ABOUT US OR BRING NEW PEOPLE TO THE STORE.OR BRING OTHER STORES TO US WHO BUY OUR DISPLAYS AND COUNTERS.... ...LATELY ITS FEELING LIKE KIDS DAY OUT THERE...WE ARE SELLING LOTS TO YOUNG FAMILIES ...... I SURE BELIEVE THAT BUYING antiques~ used and rehabbed furniture Is SO SMART and really BETTER AND DEFINITELY MORE INTERESTING THAN MOST NEW FURNITURE...AND WEIRD BUT TRUE...ITS CHEAPER TOO.....

AND I EVEN GOT OUT AND BOUGHT A BIG PILE OF..NICE OLD PAPER, VICTORIAN KIDS CLOTHES, OLD ADVERTIZING, BOTTLES, VINTAGE CHRISTMAS CARDS, A RED PEDAL CAR, BIG SCRAPBOOK, VICTORIAN UMBERELLAS WITH BEAUTIFUL HANDLES, .A NICE BIG VINTAGE PILE...

ALSO WE ARE GETTING READY FOR OUR ANNUAL YARDSALE.........IT WILL BE AUGUST 8 this year...and really big and packed as usual.... its a real clearance sale and lots of great stuff out in the sun....

also ...we just signed up for tv ads on wsbt in south bend...so watch for us...

WE ARE CLOSED THURSDAYS..... OPEN ALL THE OTHER DAYS....it feels bad to be out in the yard on my day off and see someone go by thinking we are open... ...sorry!!!!
