gone but not forgotten

this is a picture i got at auction a long time ago...in a box of frames.....its from 1801...handpainted....a fractur......

it was one of my favorite things..and one of the oldest things we have ever bought...or realized anyway......when jon was little an antique dealer friend was in our house and offered us 5000$ for it..we said no....and jon about fell off the couch........

but a few years ago we got the bug to buy something we just had to have.....a cottage!!! ... and dh tricked me into selling off a few things.... and that was one of them.....

thats the original frame too....

i really miss it...

but love the cottage..
